Get Even Gayer with More Pride
If you want to learn more about Pride and Stonewall, here are the sources I referenced in the Gay Pride episode:
- First-hand accounts of Stonewall in this Democracy Now video
- Award-winning documentary about Pride around the world
- Good ol’ fashioned Wikipedia (don’t judge, this podcast isn’t a history term paper)
Gayish: 012 Gay Pride
Mike and Kyle become better gays by learning where Pride comes from. Then, they become worse gays by questioning if it should exist. Also, whats up Mikes butt?
Gayish: 011 Exes

How To Make A Giant Ogre Dick
Step 1 – Find some skin toned color knee high socks in a stretchy fabric. I suggest the ones that aren’t super pale, and aren’t super black.
Step 2 – Get some stuffing!
NOTE: In the podcast I call this “quilter’s batting” THIS IS INCORRECT. You want the stuff that is loose and not in a roll. It is often called stuffing or fill.
Step 3 – Fill the sock to your desired girth, and tie at the top. I used a clear plastic hair tie.
Start slappin’ your friends!
Gayish: 010 Dungeons & Dragons
Mike and Kyle talk to their friends about their experiences being out Dungeons & Dragons nerds. Special guests: Matt Eaton, Carly Dykes, and Sharayah Lewis.
Gayish: 009 Ball(s)
Mikes fraternity brother, Dan Patzer, stops by to talk about his testicular cancer and bust the misconceptions about having one ball.
Kyle Isn’t Sexist!
Good news! I’m not sexist. At least, not this time.
There have been studies that show that men are scientifically better at directions than men. But I was a little simplistic in my explanation. According to an article in Science Daily: “‘In simple terms, women are faster at finding things in the house, and men are faster at finding the house,’ Pintzka says.”
Also, the theory that there’s iron in men’s noses that helps them with directions doesn’t seem to be true at all, based on this article. But hey, I’m still not sexist.
New York Times Safe Space Article
Check out the NYT opinion piece that I got some of my information from for the Safe Space episode.
“But the notion that ticklish conversations must be scrubbed clean of controversy has a way of leaking out and spreading. Once you designate some spaces as safe, you imply that the rest are unsafe. It follows that they should be made safer.”
